Exclusions to Service
We never refuse to discuss a consumer’s concern or complaint.
However our mandate does not permit us to deal with the following matters:
- Complaints associated with a foreign life and health insurance
service or product - Complaints that are already before the courts, a tribunal or arbitrator,
or another independent dispute resolution service - Complaints made by a non consumer, such as a business or professional services provider who is trying to collect an account submitted to a life and health insurance company.
We may also decline to deal with a complaint under certain circumstances, for example where the subject matter of the complaint is currently under investigation by a regulator, where there is a more appropriate venue to address the dispute, or if many years have elapsed from the date the complaint arose. Please check with one of our Complaints Counsellors if you have a question. Click Here to contact us.
