Yves Rabeau holds a Master’s degree in Commerce from HEC Montréal and a Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is a full professor of management and economics at the École des sciences de la gestion of the Université du Québec à Montréal (ESG-UQAM). Dr. Rabeau’s teaching and research focus on telecommunications and the media as well as on innovation and the emergence of new business models. He has authored several books and book chapters, research papers, technical studies and articles for scientific and business publications.
Dr. Rabeau has served as a consultant to both the Canadian and Québec’s governments and to other public agencies in Canada and abroad. He was a visiting researcher at the Bank of Canada. He also consulted for several Canadian businesses primarily in the areas of telecommunications, the media, and energy. Dr. Rabeau is a director of the Montreal Economic Institute.
